Lyn Laver-Ahmat

Lyn Laver-Ahmat B/Art, B/Ed, is a Mackay based artist working in painting, sculpture and printmaking. Her work centers primarily on concerns about her environment and she finds inspiration from her time in nature. Alongside Lyn’s arts practice, she has been an art teacher for 20 years. Currently, she is exhibiting her first solo exhibition "Light on Landscape" at Mackay's Artspace Regional Art Gallery. Her recent work has been selected finalist in the Percival Portrait Prize, Townsville, Broken Hill Outback Art Prize and Moreton Bay Art Awards, and Stanthorpe Art Prize.
